Check access and Revit version
Copilot is currently available as a pilot for Revit 2025 and 2026. Ask your workspace admin whether it is enabled and assigned to you.
Install Desktop Runner to receive Copilot and keep it connected to Conduit. Your admin coordinates access and accepts the required workspace policies with the Conduit team.

Start with a question about the open model
Open the Copilot side panel in Revit. Name the scope of the request: your selection, the active view, or a particular category. Start with an inspection so you can see whether it has the right context.
- “Summarize the elements in the active view by category.”
- “Inspect the elements I have selected and show their parameter information.”
- “List the schedules in this project.”
If a response covers only part of the model, ask about a smaller selection, view, or category to get a more focused answer.
Review changes before they run
Supported model changes require your confirmation. Read the proposed action and check the target elements and values before approving it.
If the selection or proposed change is wrong, correct the request instead of confirming. After execution, inspect the reported result and the relevant model elements.
For example, asking to update a parameter on selected elements needs a precise parameter name, intended value, and scope. Availability depends on the capability supported in your Revit environment.
When the task should become a team app
Choose the Builder when other people need a repeatable workflow with the same inputs, rules, and output. Describe those requirements in Conduit, generate the app, test it, and deploy a version.
Use what you learned from the Copilot task to write the app brief: which elements mattered, what exceptions occurred, and what the final result should look like.
If the panel or connection is unavailable
Check workspace pilot access and assignment with your admin, confirm you are using Revit 2025 or 2026, and check that Desktop Runner is signed in and has synced the assigned app.
If the panel opens but a task fails, record the request, Revit version, document type, and the message shown. Send those details through Help & feedback.
