Use the Revit side panel for a one-off. Use the Conduit app when the same work should become a team tool.
What this is
Copilot is an assistant in a side panel inside Revit. You describe a task for the model you have open, and it does that job once.
It is available when Radical has turned it on for your workspace. If you do not see it in Revit, ask your workspace admin.
When to use the Revit side panel
Use Copilot when the job is once: rename these sheets, pull this schedule, check this view. You are already in Revit, you want the work done now, and you are not ready to give the whole team a button.
When to create a team tool in the app
Use the Conduit app when the same request would come back next week. Describe it, generate a version, and deploy that version to the people who need it. That tool lives in the workspace and you can send newer versions later.
Do the one-off in Copilot. When you would run it again, create the tool in the Conduit app.
What you click
- In Revit: open the Copilot side panel and describe the one-off. Stay in the model you have open.
- In the Conduit app: create the lasting tool. From description to ribbon is that path.
If Copilot is not on for your workspace, you still create tools in the Conduit app. Ask your admin if you want the Revit panel.
What happens next
A one-off stays with that Revit session. A team tool is a version you deploy to people. Those are different jobs.
